Juna Token

The system's unit of account is the JUNA token, which is used for transactions within the ecosystem.

Juna Token is an integral part of the system, can be created on the main blockchain, and transferred between blockchains. Multi-chain capability is one of the main advantages of the Juna Token ecosystem over traditional cryptocurrency concepts. Juna Token plays three roles: it is a value transfer agent, an interaction transfer agent between ecosystem participants, and a power/authority transfer agent for ecosystem management.

Juna Token as a value transfer agent

Value transfer within one network (main or any other) is done by sending tokens between wallets or through smart contracts (interactions, below). Transferring tokens between networks is done through special services - Token Bridge. 

One of the important distinguishing features of Juna is that payment for all transactions in all networks within the Juna ecosystem is made in Juna tokens, regardless of the native coin and blockchain in which the transaction is executed.
 If a user transfers tokens between networks within one wallet, only Token Bridge will be used. If the transfer is made between different wallets in different networks, the Forwarder-Relayer will also be used, which is described further in this BC. These services can be used independently of each other.

Juna Token as an interaction transfer agent

By providing services/work or producing/supplying goods, Juna system participants can also receive tokens in any of the available networks. 

The Juna system also involves a sequence of smart contracts, where the initial one acts as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) - allowing users to pre-negotiate proportions and investment and reward sizes, and subsequent smart contracts are built in a chain: the result of one will be the call of another smart contract. In theory, this chain is not limited in length. This is the subject of the Value Chain section.
